Industrial output in Romania slowed down this October

Industrial output in Romania slowed down again this October, after a bounce in September, at the end of five consecutive months of declines, but managers are still optimistic as the year is closing in, reveal the findings of an October 2016 industrial barometer conducted by IRSOP and the Management Faculty of the Bucharest National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA).

Romania industry turnover up by 4.2 pct in September compared with 2015

The companies’ turnover from the industry grew by 4.2 percent in September 2016 compared with September 2015, but slowed down compared with August, taking into account that the durable goods industry continued to support the businesses, shows the data published on the National Institute of Statistics (INS) on Friday.

Exports peak to EUR 17 billion in Q1

Romania’s FOB exports reached up to RON 76,101 billion (EUR 16.933 billion) January through April this year, while imports climbed up to RON 83.943 billion (EUR 18.682 billion), according to provisional estimates of the National Institute of Statistics (INS) released on Tuesday.
